ICC’s International Integrity & Anti-corruption Conference, Friday 6 December 2019, Peace Palace, The Hague
For the 4th time, ICC Netherlands takes the initiative to organize ICC’s International Integrity & Anti-corruption Conference, the yearly multi-stakeholder conference on business integrity and anti-corruption. The conference aims to foster an open dialogue between executives and experts from the private and the public sector, NGOs and academics in order to galvanise a response to current matters, raise awareness and promote ethical behaviour. In the afternoon, break-out sessions provide for practical insights from experts and practitioners on their daily work in both the public and the private sector, on how to achieve actual results towards more ethical and sustainable organisations. This year’s conference is typically an occasion for leaders to participate and join the debate on the central theme: ‘From Ethical Leadership towards Leading sustainably?’. Underlying all leadership characteristics is the need for a strong sense of ethics – right and wrong – to help those in the organization that look for moral guidance when difficult issues arise or workplace conflicts occur. Leadership and management go hand in hand. They are not the same thing. Which part play leaders, culture, values, rules and enforcement when it comes to business integrity, both in organisations and in society?
